However, the person getting the piercing must be eighteen years of age or have the written consent of one of their parents. Some teens do not have their parents permission, so they cannot have a body piercer do the piercing for them. They result to piercing their own noses. Sometimes, they do it with a needle. Other times, they do it with a piercing gun that can be purchased by those under the age of eighteen.
