Interesting discovery
I have been playing the conga drum for nearly 10 years now, and I just did discover that most conga drums are made in the same part of the world — Bangkok, Thailand! I am amazed at this. It has something to do with Bangkok’s close proximity to the right materials in the right skilled labor. Most interesting. Have you ever seen how the conga drum is made? I have to tell you, it is quite a labor-intensive process. I have owned the same set of conga’s for eight years now, and they are a functional, and musical piece of art. I like them a lot!
