What activity ranks as the top of Iowa tourism activities? It would have to be fishing. If you go out to any of the larger lakes from spring to fall you will see fishermen everywhere. One the weekends you will see family taking a picnic to the lake and at least one if not all of them will be carrying a fishing pole. If you have the opportunity to drive beside a lake during a weekday it is my bet that you will see at least one boat out in the water with the lines thrown over the side trying for the one trophy fish.
