If you are painting in your house and you want to try something different, try some differing Painting Techniques on your walls. Recently, it has become very stylish to use different techniques on your walls instead of just using a roller to apply paint on your walls. One technique is call "ragging" where you either brush or roll paint on the wall, and then you take a clean rag and wad it into a ball. You take the rag and either roll it or pat it on the wet paint. This removes some of the wet paint and allows a bas coat to show through. This works well when the topcoat is a similar color to the base coat, but it works equally well when the basecoat is a contrasting color to the topcoat. It all depends on the effect you want on your walls.
