Women’s Career Choices are Limited By Family

Women’s career choices have improved over the past decade, but still a study done by Fitzgerald Fassinger &Betz, says that career behavior for women is often more complex than it is for women.  This is because often it is women that interrupt career and education to care for their family.

The study also found that another reason why women have a harder time in making their career choices is be cause of obstacles like gender discrimination and stereotyping.  Womens career choices are not as important because many women who come from low income families do not feel like they have many choices when survival is on their mind.
