Dry Macular Degeneration Information

Dry Macular degeneration usually occurs in people over the age of 50. The early symptoms of this disease are blurred vision and spots in the central vision area. You may also begin needing brighter and brighter lights to read. Entering a dimly lit area can also cause problems because your eyes can’t process such dim illumination. Unfortunately dry macular degeneration doesn’t have a cure, although since this disease progresses very slowly, it is possible to live a normal and productive life. There are currently several treatments that are being studied as a way to reverse the progression of this disease. However, they are still being studied and not available to the general public just yet.
