What I would look for…

Personally, it would always be the look and feel. If I would want to get an espresso machine then it would be the La Pavoni. To me, it is simply the one that looks like an espresso machine that is important. To many, it might be the price. Cost definitely plays an important role in determining the right machine from the coffee makers. However, more and more folks are becoming the "followers". Just as wine appreciation was some years ago, people that do not undertstand much about coffee is trying to be coffee snob. They choose the most popular model, learn the most used technique and brews the coffee that most people are drinking. They are trying to be coffee afficinados.
