A few years back, my mom go a recipe from a co- worker in her office for making homemade pickles. She took fresh cucumbers and made real, edible pickles that were great. Now, although, the first batch was a little salty, as she took the liberty to altering the recipe and changing up a few things, but on the second and third batches of that year, she followed the recipe exactly, and the end result were homemade, crunchy pickles that had the perfect blend of salt, pepper, and vinegar. Although, she hasn’t made the recipe since that year, during the summer, and especially with hamburgers, I crave those homemade pickles.
