When I was in France, I bought my mom a gorgeous music box as a souvenir.  I didn’t have any space for it in my carry-on bag, so I had to pack it in my checked suitcase.  I was concerned that it might not make it home in one piece – especially when I looked out the plane window and saw the forceful, rough way the airport employees were tossing the bags onto the carts.  Thankfully, the music box survived – and my mom was thrilled to receive it!  I thank my hard-side luggage for getting everything home intact.  It withstood the pressure of other suitcases stacked on top of it, and kept my belongings safe and secure.
